As a boy Mr. Hardwick doted over precious excavations of prehistoric pokemon and aspired to one day uncover his own. But that all went downhill when he was abducted by Team Rocket and pressured into stealing a prized fossil, Old Amber, from the Head Professor's research lab in the basement beneath the display room.[break][break] After that Wolfgang fell on hard times and into the wrong crowd, but the positive reinforcement even the most basic Rocket Grunts gave him was... encouraging. It felt more like a brotherhood than even working as a pencil pusher had been at the museum. He learned to appreciate Team Rocket's goals and adopted the belief of necessary evil.[break][break] On several occasions Wolfgang tried to ascend the ranks, but to no avail. Countless times he was beaten with pokemon Team Rocket had provided for him. Inevitably he determined that Team Rocket, while great at stealing pokemon, were amateurs when it came to training them. So he abandoned the colors and traveled back to Johto to avoid their incessant meddling.[break][break] Back home Wolfgang was finally able to train a successful team of pokemon and even went on to challenge some of the greatest gyms in the region. But during a visit to Goldenrod City he was held up by more Rocket thugs, except this time he gave them a beating. A few hours after the thrashing, he was again approached by a more elusive figure wearing a high-collared trench coat and a hat. They slipped into Wolfgang's possession photos of a younger, fresher looking Wolfgang holding the precious Old Amber.[break][break] He was back in their clutches again, but he was a loose cannon compared to most grunts they accepted into their ranks. So instead of forcing him to oversee mundane tasks in Johto or Kanto, they had a proposition for him: A new frontier, Alola. "Pokemon Paradise."[break][break] Without hardly much of an objective or rationale supplied, he was ferried off on the S.S. Anne and arrived in Alola without any pokemon to his name. Evidently whoever had prepared his luggage conveniently stole off with his prized pokemon. But it was no matter, for once in Wolfgang's life the exotic breeze of Alola allowed a tinge of childish glee to creep over his aging bones.[break][break] Adventure. Life. Pokemon. What could go wrong? [attr="class","bioheader"]personality. [attr="class,"bioentry"]Wolfgang attributes most of his actions to necessary evil. He is quite capricious in his dealings, and often resorts to crass apathy when handling business ventures. There is little to know about him except that Wolfgang is violent, rude and boisterous. Many do not take a liking to him, though for Wolfgang that feeling is often mutual.[break][break] Belonging to a class of elite Rocket Admins back in Kanto and Johto have left an impression on Mr. Hardwick. Taking the reins and steering them towards success comes natural, though just because he relishes authority doesn't mean he handles it well. Wolfgang is not without his failures, but his unwillingness to admit a personal fault forces him to blame others before himself.[break][break] Towards accomplices Wolfgang is just as ruthless as with his enemies and rivals; they are cannon fodder straying in his way far too often. It is exceptionally rare that he decides to show any act of kindness or friendliness towards even the most devoted grunts. Children are especially frustrating to Wolfgang, because they are either completely incapable of logical thought or they're too stubborn to give it a try, and instead rely on emotional response.[break][break] NSFW/EXPLICIT Wolfgang finds his only respite in slaking his many appetites. Addicted or at least frequently administering many illicit drugs and substances into his body, he reacts to sensual stimuli greatly and is practically a slave to these desires. Underneath all his darkest character defects is a lewd perversion for anything that reveals a little too much skin. Lustful accurately depicts the man, as he is seldom found appreciating the conceptualization of love and affection, simply resorting to the word lust because he thinks it describes his instinctive and selfish motives more accurately. [attr="class","bioheader"]other. [attr="class,"bioentry"]Wolfgang is essentially a high profile criminal with an amateur approach. Mr. Hardwick has an image of himself being better than most, making him a narcissist. But his extreme wealth makes it bona fide, at least from his perspective.[break][break] As far as his motives in Alola, Wolfgang has little tolerance for the Aether Foundation and Team Skull. The momentary armistice between the two criminal organizations can't last, not if Wolfgang has anything to say about it. He is very reluctant to even help Team Rocket, but if it's his job he wants to dutifully carry out any tasks to perfection. That means eliminating any opposition or needless distractions before they get under his feet.
